Save The Date!!! We’re back for year 7, and it is going to be bigger than ever!! Friday & Saturday September 1st & 2nd!!! We are teaming up with our friends Friday After 5 on the 1st and to say we are excited is an understatement!!!

Welcome to the website of The East Bridge Art Festival. In August of 2011 we kicked off our first year and had more success then we could have ever imagined. In 2012 we partnered with the city of Owensboro introducing Bridge Day and The East Bridge Art & Music Festival bringing over 10,000 people into downtown Owensboro! We knocked the socks off of Owensboro again in 2013! In 2014 we rocked it again bringing in again over 10,000 people into downtown Owensboro! In 2015 we are moved the festival to Smothers Park along the Ohio River in Owensboro…and it was a smashing success.  Staying true to our creativity, we changed it up again in 2016 by adding an extra day and food trucks!!  It’s now 2017, and we promise not to disappoint!!  We are teaming up with Friday After 5 again this year, and bringing in even more food trucks.  We can’t wait to see you there!!!

Tell Me More About East Bridge!

How did East Bridge begin?
Katherine Taylor and Christy Taylor Chaney are sisters that both majored in art in college. After the graduation of Katherine they decided they wanted to open an art gallery in good ole Owensboro. But then they got to thinking, and they added the boutique part to the gallery. They named their art haven Studio Slant. At Studio Slant there is an art gallery but also a handmade boutique full of fun gifts made by artists with love. Their love for all things handmade grew into something they had dreamed about for years. With Studio Slant spreading the good word of handmade they wanted to see if an art festival would work in Owensboro. The sisters for years have traveled to art festivals and wanted one of their own and so they started to work on East Bridge. On the day of the Festival they were a bundle of nerves. Within an hour the grounds were filled with people admiring the uniqueness this festival had to offer. Children creating their own works of art while the parents took in the artwork surrounding them. Live music playing all day and the local restaurants serving up gourmet street food. Something they had only dreamed about was now in full swing right in front of them. Bringing in 1,900+ people, East Bridge Art and Music Festival was born.

Why is it called East Bridge?
Well we were East of the bridge the first four years and now in the fifth year the bridge is East of us!
